Frequently asked questions

Business questions

  • Traveluxe is a luxury brand, not a mass-market host. Advisors choose us because they want:

    • High-value clients

    • Elevated branding

    • Clean systems

    • Premium supplier access

    • Real strategy behind the scenes

    • A founder with a 175K+ audience and proven luxury content engine

    It’s a better, higher-touch business experience.

  • Many advisors make their first booking within two weeks after joining, sometimes days if they already have travelers in mind.

Commission can only be collected from a supplier once your client's trip ends (e.g. they check out of their hotel). This process can take anywhere from two weeks to three months. As soon as funds are received, you'll be notified and paid out via direct deposit or bank transfer. Traveluxe pays commissions every two-weeks.

  • No. Traveluxe partners exclusively with Independent Contractors. You’re building your own business and using our platform, systems, and supplier network to support your growth. You control your hours, your workflow, your clients, and your brand.

  • No. Many of our top advisors started with zero experience. You’ll have access to a two-month self-paced onboarding designed to help you confidently quote, sell, and support luxury Disney travel clients. You decide how much of the training you use.

  • Everything you need to launch your business:
access to systems, suppliers, onboarding, email, templates, and the brand presence that opens doors in the luxury travel world.
It’s a business investment — not a job application fee.

  • The $350 annual renewal maintains your access to Traveluxe’s ecosystem — including your branded email, suppliers, internal resources, and business tools. You choose whether to renew each year.

  • Required:

    • Tern CRM access: $22/mo (paid directly to the provider)

    • Annual renewal: $350

    Optional:

    • Marketing Subscription: $350/year (email marketing, templates, quarterly classes)

Anyone selling to Florida residents needs the state Seller of Travel license ($50/yr).

  • Because it protects you and ensures accurate commissions.
Tern is required only for recordkeeping, compliance, and payment processing.
How you run your business beyond that is completely up to you.

  • Suppliers pay Traveluxe after the client travels, then you receive your percentage (based on your tier) via direct deposit. Advisors start at 70% and can earn up to 90% payouts, depending on production and experience.

Typical commission percentages on a vacation package are from 10-20%.

  • Absolutely not.
Traveluxe does not require recruiting, team building, or any form of multi-level compensation. This is a clean, traditional, IC travel business model — elevated with luxury branding and modern systems.

  • No. Training is available, not mandatory. You choose the tools and resources that support your business goals.

  • Onboarding is self-paced. Most advisors complete the core setup in in a few weeks and begin selling quickly. Others take a month or two to flow through all modules. It’s entirely up to you.

  • Yes. Many advisors start part-time while working full-time jobs or managing families. You set your hours and you choose your pace.

  • No. Traveluxe welcomes advisors nationwide.
The only state-specific rule: If you live in Florida or sell to Florida residents, the state requires a Seller of Travel license ($50/year).

  • Traveluxe offers a tiered commission split from 70%–90%, determined by your commissionable sales from the prior calendar year. Higher production earns higher splits, and your commission level is reviewed annually to reflect your business growth.

This structure is designed to support sustainable growth rather than penalize advisors for a single slower year.

  • You can join Traveluxe either as a 1099 independent contractor or through a legal entity (an LLC or S-Corp).

If you start out as a 1099 independent contractor and later decide it makes more sense to run your business under a legal entity, that’s completely fine, you can make that switch at any time.

  • Yes! All advisors are covered by our Errors & Omissions insurance policy, provided that the claim is brought against Traveluxe in the United States.

Marketing & Finding Clients

  • Traveluxe provides leads to the most established agents. Once you are ready, you will be able to apply to be part of our leads team.

However — your affiliation with a well-known luxury brand and @ThatResortGirl’s 200K+ audience builds instant credibility that helps advisors attract higher-value clients faster.

  • Yes. You run your own business under your own personal brand — with access to Traveluxe’s professional email, systems, and supplier accreditation. You’re welcome to build your identity while leveraging ours.

If you choose to do this, you will be required to have your own E&O policy with Traveluxe as a named insured.

Selling Disney Vacations is something most of our agents do but they also sell the following:

    • Luxury hotels + resorts

    • All-inclusive brands

    • Cruises

    • Tours

    • Groups + destination celebrations

    • Honeymoons

    • Multi-gen vacations

You’ll have access to an exceptional supplier network across luxury, mass market, and cruise.

  • A strong personal brand is built on authenticity, expertise, and consistency. Traveluxe’s training gives you the tools and guidance to create a brand that resonates with your ideal clients and sets you apart in the industry.

Client Management & Support

  • You’ll be your clients’ main point of contact, but you won’t be on your own. You have access to internal support, mentorship, and shared knowledge resources for complex bookings, supplier questions, or unexpected client issues. You’re never expected to navigate challenges alone.

  • Traveluxe provides access to modern client management tools, like Tern, and workflows designed specifically for travel advisors. These systems support lead tracking, client communication, itineraries, and commission management—so you can stay organized without overcomplicating your process.

  • Yes. Advisors maintain ownership of the clients they bring into the business. Traveluxe’s structure is designed to support long-term advisor growth and client retention, not short-term transactions.

  • Traveluxe emphasizes high-touch, professional client service. Advisors are provided with best practices, templates, and guidance to help deliver a consistent, elevated experience while still allowing flexibility for individual advisor style.

  • Traveluxe encourages proactive planning. Advisors can coordinate internal support or coverage to ensure clients are taken care of, even when you’re unavailable.

Career Growth

  • Being a Traveluxe Advisor is completely flexible. There are no required hours, quotas, or minimums, you decide how much time to dedicate based on your goals. Some advisors spend just a few hours a week as a part-time advisor, while others commit to travel advising as a full-time business.

  • Your income as a Traveluxe Advisor depends on how you want to build your business. Many advisors start part-time while balancing careers in education, healthcare, finance, and other fields, while others scale into a full-time business.

Earnings are ultimately shaped by the number of clients you work with, the volume and price point of the bookings you make, and the commission rates offered by suppliers.

  • We don't encourage brand new advisors to get started with charging their clients planning fees. However, you can choose to incorporate planning fees into your business structure at any time, adjusting your fee based on trip complexity and your experience. Included in your training are lessons on how to establish and communicate about planning fees to your clients.

  • Absolutely not.
Traveluxe does not require recruiting, team building, or any form of multi-level compensation. This is a traditional IC travel business model, elevated with luxury branding and modern systems.
